COME HUNT MOOSE IN ALBERTA WITH US

Moose Hunting Outfitter Information

Offer two types of moose hunting options, remote hunt and lodge hunt.

REMOTE MOOSE HUNTS -

( Mid September to start of October )

Our remote hunts will end up being 9 days as 1 travel day into camp, 7 hunting days, 1 day travel out.  Run out of a trapline cabin and canvas wall tents.

LODGE MOOSE HUNTS  -

( Early October )

Our Lodge hunt is just 7 hunting days.

Hunting moose in Northern Alberta is a different experience than in the territories or Alaska. We don’t have the luxury of getting on top of the mountains and glassing the valleys looking for the antlers shining in the willows. We have to call them to us so we focus our hunt during the rut in September and October when they are most responsive.

We target lakes, rivers, beaver ponds, and fresh log cuts. Most of the travel is done by ATV or boat in the back country. Very exciting moose hunt when the bulls are calling. No other excitement like a bull moose running to your call. They can put on quite the show!

If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure in the northern Alberta wilderness, this is the hunt for you.

What type of caliber rifle should I bring? We like to see clients with a .30 caliber rifle or larger. Due to the size of the animals in our area, this would be our recommendation. Although, the decision is up to the hunter as comfortability is just as important as power.

Do we offer lodging? Yes we do for for moose.  The lodge is a brand new facility located in just west of Slave lake, Alberta. That is where home base is and based on the hunt, we may be hunting close to there or in our remote areas.

What is the average shot distance? Most likely within 200 yards as we call them to us and prefer to get them as close as possible.

What size bulls do you have? This is a bit of a varied answer as we have bulls all the way up to the 60” range but as with any animal, they are big for a reason. They are smarter, older, and genetics play a factor but they are here and time, patience and a bit of luck plays into it.

Can you take the meat home? Yes you can.

What types of areas do you target? We like to target areas with visibility that will allow us to call them. Lakes, rivers, beaver ponds and log cuts are a few that we like to target.
