Wolf Hunting Information
These unique hunts take place in the winter ( February - March ).
All of our Alberta, Canada Wolf Hunts take place at our brand new lodge, 25 minutes west of Slave Lake, Alberta.
5 hunting days.
Our Alberta Wolf Hunts are from heated ground blinds over bait strategically placed in areas where wolves would naturally travel. These are very challenging hunts, not for the physicality but mentally. Take place during the winter months, generally February - March from snowmobiles or ATV.
We have good success rates on wolves considering the difficulty of the hunt.
WOLF HUNTING FAQ
What type of caliber rifle should I bring? We prefer that our wolf hunting clients use a .30 caliber rifle or larger. We have very big wolves in our region, this would be our recommendation. By all means, use what you're most comfortable with, too.
Where is the closest airport to the wolf hunting lodge? Edmonton international airport (YEG).
Do I need to fill anything out to wolf hunt in Alberta? You can apply online for the Alberta "Wildlife identification number" WIN, which is required for purchasing a license in Alberta.
Do we offer lodging? Yes all of our wolf hunts are based out of our lodge. The lodge is a brand new facility located in just west of Slave lake, Alberta.
What time of year do you hunt wolves? We prefer to target them in the winter months of February, March when they are most active.
Are these hunts physically demanding? As with all of our hunts, they are not physically demanding however, wolf hunting is the most mentally demanding. There can be a lot of hours sitting in a blind with only yourself to keep you company. Patience and a positive mindset go a long way when targeting wolves.
How do you hunt them? We hunt wolves from heated ground blinds.
